Sustainable Resource Solutions Ltd – Launches 'Revise' -- a sustainability consultancy for universities & colleges

16 Apr 2009

Sustainable Resource Solutions have, this month, launched the UK’s first sustainability consultancy aimed specifically at Universities and Colleges. ‘Revise’ offers a new approach to helping the Further and Higher Education Sector to take the ever important next steps in sustainability performance improvement. The service was successfully launched at this year’s conference of the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC).

Michelle Dixon, Sustainability Manager at Sustainable Resource Solutions, said: “We have been really pleased with the interest in Revise at the EAUC Conference, where we held a popular exhibition stand and workshop. The extent of the interest reflects the innovative approach that we are taking with Revise. The service is based on extensive sector experience and goes beyond traditional consultancy services. We are offering Universities and Colleges a specialist service that focuses on providing ground level project delivery support and expertise based firmly on a partnership approach.

Revise offers a tailored sustainability service to suit each organisation, building on and complementing any existing programmes and initiatives. A project manager will be assigned to each organisation and will act as a flexible member of staff to ensure that measured reductions in resource consumption and organisational costs are achieved.”

Michelle added: "We have already had great successes in trialling our approach and we understand that although policy and strategy work is extremely important, the real change happens when organisations move to the implementation stage. Our approach helps organisations build and further develop sustainability frameworks which are realistic and deliverable. We have also found that by working and maintaining a partnership approach we can ensure that measurable sustainability improvements actually happen."
