Dr Sam Williams

Sam has headed up the Life Science division at IP Group since 2018, during which time he has significantly grown the division. He brings with him over 30 years in the biotech sector, as research scientist, investment analyst, entrepreneur and company director. He was the founding CEO of the Group’s most valuable biotech company, Istesso, where he now serves as Chairman, and sits on the boards of Pulmocide Ltd, Psioxus Ltd, Microbiotica Ltd and Iksuda Therapeutics. He also represents the combined interests of GSK, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson on the board of Apollo Therapeutics. Prior to founding Istesso, he was a top-ranked equity analyst in the City of London, and holds a PhD in molecular biology from Cambridge and a degree in biology from Oxford.
