Partners

We choose partners with purpose

We’re proud to have partnered with some of the most prestigious organisations in the world over the last 25 years. Here’s a selection of some of the brilliant organisations we work with.

From start-up to scale-up

IP Group supports university spin outs across their full lifecycle. Working alongside Parkwalk, our EIS fund management business, we provide early stage funding, invest our own balance sheet capital and, as companies develop, deliver scale up investment through the funds we manage on behalf of third party investors. This long term approach has helped build more than 600 companies across HealthTech, DeepTech and CleanTech.

Early-stage capital

Our wholly-owned subsidiary Parkwalk is the UK's largest growth EIS fund manager, backing world-changing technologies emerging from the UK’s leading universities and research institutions. This includes funds managed in conjunction with the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, and Imperial College London. In 2025, we also launched a new EIS fund in collaboration with Northern Gritstone, covering the universities of Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield.

Balance sheet capital

IP Group’s permanent balance sheet capital enables us to be a long term partner to portfolio companies. We invest directly into businesses from early formation through to later stages, supporting company creation, follow on funding and sustained development. This permanent capital base allows us to support companies through multiple fundraising rounds as businesses progress from start up to scale up.

Scale-up capital

We manage over £0.5bn of third party capital, including a mandate for Hostplus, one of Australia’s top ten superannuation funds. This capital has supported portfolio companies such as Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Genomics, First Light Fusion, Oxa and Hysata as they scale. We have also launched the IP Group Climate Catalyst Fund with Australia’s Clean Energy Finance Corporation and work with Aberdeen in the UK to manage a portfolio of early-stage and growth investments in the UK as part of a private asset solution.
