David Townsend

David joined IP Group's Global Capital team in June 2025.
Most recently he was the Managing Director responsible for the EMEA business & global consultant relations at Value Partners Group. Prior to this he was Head of Investor Relations at Alderwood Capital, Head of the EMEA and Australian institutional businesses at First Eagle Investment Management and was the Managing Director responsible for the EMEA institutional business, global consultant relations and the UK wholesale businesses at Martin Currie.
David previously served as Head of International and Institutional Sales at Framlington and Head of UK Institutional Sales as AXA IM, and before that Director of Sales at Scottish Life International Investment Group.
David began his career at Fidelity Investments International, working in the UK and European retail businesses and in international business development across the Middle East and Africa.
David holds a Master's Degree in Near and Middle East Area Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies at University of London and a Bachelor's Degree in Modern European Studies from Trent Polytechnic.
