IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group"), the developer of intellectual property-based businesses, is pleased to announce that Parkwalk Advisors Ltd ("Parkwalk"), the Group’s EIS fund management business, has won the ‘Best EIS Fund Manager’ category at the EISA awards for the third year in a row.

The award, presented at the House of Lords, recognised an extremely strong 2018 for Parkwalk, where it invested in excess of £65 million in hard-science, knowledge-intensive growth companies commercialising the best of British innovation from world-class universities.

Remarking on the award, the judges noted: “An impressive manager with a strong track record and regular exits. Exactly what the regulator is looking for, helping create new innovative businesses and funding new start ups.”

In 2018, Parkwalk won the ‘Best EIS Fund Manager’ category and, in 2017, won the both the ‘Best EIS Fund Manager’ and the ‘Best EIS Investment Exit’ categories.
